Monsarrat Artisan Group uses a proprietary system of products requiring
specialized training. These products are developed and manufactured by
Faux Effects, the leader in the field of specialty finishes for the trained
decorative artist. Allen’s expertise with these products allows
applying finishes which withstand the rigors of everyday usage to virtually
any surface including melamine, ceramic tile, concrete, etc.
Area:
Knoxville Tennessee and surrounding areas including Knox, Monroe, Blount,
Loudon, Sevierville, Maryville, Lenoir City, Vonore, and Farragut. Will
travel for special projects.

Allen’s
background includes architectural training, construction, and a BFA from
the Memphis College of Arts. Additionally many people know Allen Monsarrat
for the pottery he produced in his Friendsville studio for twenty four
years before changing to a career in faux and decorative finishes. In
2001 he began studying with Martin Alan Hirsh in Louisville, Kentucky
and has continued his studies with some of the leading national and international
faux artists through workshops and travel both here and abroad. He has
built a reputation for creating fabulous finishes on walls, ceilings,
floors, columns, mantles and other architectural features.
